15 Nov Jackie’s flower crown hen workshop recap
I recently hosted a bespoke flower crown workshop with a group of ladies who were celebrating the lovely Jackie’s bridal shower. About 25 people and I spent a relaxing weekend morning with lots of beautiful flowers. It was a fun day filled with brilliant company, joy and laughters! I was super-excited about the floral crown workshop. The process required a lots planning and took tons of emails back and forth but I enjoyed every minute of it. The set up was exquisite and weather was perfect to hold the outdoor workshop. I ensured everything was ready before welcoming the guests. Everyone was so eager to learn new skills and make their masterpiece.
The workshop had the pretty garden theme in soft pastel palettes. I hand-picked fresh seasonal blooms and greens at the markets to match the theme. The session kicked off with my demonstration. I spilt the beans on building up a floral headpiece with a step by step guide. For the record, they made the crowns from the scratch and followed my lead well. It’s a hands-on activity involved with wiring, taping and other techniques. Apart from learning all the skills, they appreciated effort and time in making a flower crown and understood why it costs a lot to order one done by a professional florist. After 2 hour laser focus, everyone’s crowns turned out so unique and gorgeous! Each attendee finally got to wear their own creation. I loved watching people wear their crown and put a big happy smile on their face. I felt teacher’s proud moment 🙂 It was so much fun and I’m glad they all got to leave with a brand new flower crown that they made!
